I am incredibly proud of the campaign we ran and have no regrets. While the election did not go as planned, I firmly believe that when you stand in truth and honesty, people listen.
It takes courage to go against the grain, but it also takes courage to be the change you want to see. I’ve never shied away from that, and I’m grateful that voters recognized that in me when they cast their ballots in my favor. They saw me as a viable and needed option, and many shared how I gave them hope. I do not take that for granted.
I will continue to serve my community with integrity. My hope is that we always hold our elected officials accountable and never hesitate to speak out against mistreatment and injustice. We deserve public servants who prioritize service to others, not themselves.
Lastly, I want to thank the individuals, leaders, and organizations who took a chance and supported a challenger, even when it wasn't the popular choice. You believed in my vision, and for that, I am deeply encouraged. My family and I will forever be grateful.
